Overview
This project was a deep dive into EWC Spotlight. A high-energy esports entertainment show that blends tournament highlights with celebrity appearances, music, and cultural moments.
My goal was to ideate and design a new visual system for a promotional package for the show in order to boost visibility to attract new audiences that aren't aware of the show.
For this project, I came up with 6 different concepts and chose one to visualize through motion tests.

Showcasing the individual strengths and characteristics of every player. Edge of Greatness highlights players’ unique strengths and the sharpened edge they will bring to the competition. Every weapon becomes a reflection of its owner, becoming a symbol of their journey. This approach turns standard news coverage into a dynamic, gamified showcase that celebrates individuality within the team-driven esports landscape.
Ethereal Spaces
Teleporting into the sublime of online spaces, this concept invites viewers to reflect on their relationship with online worlds, and shift perception for viewers to realize that online spaces offer beauty, community, and transcendence. Exploring the infinite, surreal landscapes of the online world, this project dives into digital environments that can be a place of wonder.
Bitmapped Orgins
Paying homage to video game beginnings. Bitmapped Origins displays the pixelated roots of video games and coding aesthetics. The style reminds viewers that behind every video game starts with simple pixels and lines of code. It appeals to both seasoned esports fans and casual viewers by grounding today’s headlines in the aesthetic DNA of gaming history.

Ethereal Spaces reimagines esports not just as competition, but as a shared journey into limitless digital worlds. This concept highlights how EWC Spotlight transcends simple reporting by connecting audiences to the wonder and community within online spaces. It frames esports as a cultural realm where players, fans, and stories converge in environments that feel infinite, alive, and transformative.
Prismatic Fragments
Prismatic Fragments showcases how EWC Spotlight shines light on Esports; it bends, refracts, and reveals hidden moments that might otherwise go unseen. What seems at first like a singular highlight expands into a vibrant spectrum of stories, personalities, and perspectives waiting to be discovered.
